Retribution was a female NightWing who was introduced in The Hybrid Prince. She ruled as queen of the NightWings over three thousand years ago.

Retribution wore a crown.

Personality

Retribution was shown to be xenophobic and cunning. She loathed the idea of inter-tribal relationships and conspired with Queen Summit and Queen Hibiscus to drive the BeetleWings and the LeafWings out of Pyrrhia. She was cautious with animus dragons as she warned Summit about Precipice possibly becoming a problem if she was smart enough to figure out about the conspiracy Summit did with Hibiscus and Retribution to take the throne and drive out the other tribes for more territory and treasure.

The Hybrid Prince

Retribution co-created the spell for the barrier of the Dungeon Isle with the SkyWing queen, Queen Summit. She warned Summit about Precipice possibly becoming a problem although Summit dismissed the concern at first, Retribution convinced her to keep watch over Precipice whom Summit would kill if she became a threat to the SkyWing queen.

Later, in the present, Sora showed Umber a record of the early days of the Dungeon Isle. She told him that Queen Retribution and Queen Summit were in charge of the trial, and Queen Hibiscus, Queen Icicle, and Queen Dolphin were three of the five other queens who signed the sentencing document.
