Darkling was a female BeetleWing who was introduced in The Hybrid Prince. She was the Queens' Claw of the BeetleWing tribe. On behalf of Princess Summit, she and Lemur assassinated Queen Falcon, leading to the creation of the Dungeon Isle.

Description

Darkling had dark purple scales and wings that looked somewhere between a SilkWing's and a HiveWing's. She wore a Queens' Claw necklace with nine different claws hanging from it.

Personality

Darkling was observant and protective. She was willing to kill in order to protect Harmony.

The Hybrid Prince

Darkling appeared alongside Sorrel in the prologue waiting for Bloodshed and Precipice to arrive. She warned Sorrel that the two knew about Harmony and they observed the NightWing and SkyWing talk about how the village was illegal.

When Umber was in the Memory Room, Darkling was shown assassinating Queen Falcon alongside Lemur. Umber, Quokka, and Platypus saw Darkling in the scene of Sorrel and Darkling warning Queen Magnolia and Queen Euphoria that Bloodshed knew about Harmony. Euphoria tasked Darkling with getting support from Queen Hibiscus.
