Aurora is a female IceWing-SkyWing hybrid who was introduced in The Hybrid Prince. She is a singer and performs Northern Lights concerts in the Court of Refuge.

Description

Aurora has shimmering white and pale rose pink scales with glittering gold scales along her snout, and shimmering pink-and-gold wings. She has silvery IceWing spikes around her head and along her tail, and cool, icy-blue eyes. She can breathe blue fire.

The Forgotten Isles Prophecy

The Hybrid Prince

When Umber and Sora first arrived at the Court of Refuge, Aurora was seen on a poster for an upcoming Northern Lights concert. Umber noticed Sora narrowing her eyes at one of them, making him worry that seeing any IceWings, even a hybrid, would make her upset.

Aurora later appeared when Umber attended a Northern Lights concert with Sora, Quokka, and Paua. Aurora flew down onto the stage and sang one of her songs. After Platypus took Umber to Aurora's room to escape from Taipan, Royal, and Dugong, Aurora stormed in, upset that Platypus released notes at the concert as a protest. The two argued over how to make change, Aurora believing that her songs empowered others, but Platypus thinking that they were too vague and did not do enough. The conversation is cut short as they all realized someone, who ended up being her brother Borealis, had been listening to their conversation. Later, Aurora and Borealis put on another concert that gets interrupted by Snakeroot as he tells a prophecy.

When Umber, Platypus, and Quokka were working to free Mulberry from his parents' bedroom, Platypus got Aurora to help them. Aurora offered the guards on watch, Ravine and Quoll, a platter of sweets with sleeping powder on them. The guards, delighted by her presence, took, ate, and eventually fell asleep after they flew away to share one with some other guards. Later, Aurora was imprisoned by Beryl for helping Mulberry escape, but was freed in the end after Beryl and Snakeroot were usurped from their false thrones.

Platypus

Aurora appears to be close with Platypus. When Platypus dropped notes at Aurora's concert, Aurora got mad at her and they argued over how to make an impact, but they quickly became physically affectionate afterwards. Aurora worries about Platypus and wants her to stay safe from Beryl.
