The Forgotten Isles Prophecy is the prophecy given by Snakeroot in The Hybrid Prince. The fourth arc revolves around this prophecy.

The Forgotten Isles Prophecy

Dragons lost and long forgotten
Abandoned in the sunlit isle
Ruled by power and betrayal
Haunted by an ancient trial.

Lines of blood will hold the key
As danger threatens from the past
And when the claws are at his throat
The hybrid prince will rise at last.

Who springs the trap, who saves the queens,
And which of them is friend or foe?
The smallest claws must choose the path
To right a wrong from long ago.

But is it wise and is it safe
To break the curse, unleash the tide.
What happens when the walls come down,
If something else was trapped inside?

Interpretations

These are user interpretations of The Forgotten Isles Prophecy. While they have been reviewed and deemed accurate by parts of the community, it is important to note that they are not stated in canon.

Dragons lost and long forgotten
Abandoned in the sunlit isle
Ruled by power and betrayal
Haunted by an ancient trial.

(The lost and forgotten dragons refer to the prisoners of the Dungeon Isle, who were ruled by Beryl and Snakeroot until the Triumvirate overthrew them. The ancient trial is in reference to the Memory Room that the prisoners had to endure.)

Lines of blood will hold the key
As danger threatens from the past
And when the claws are at his throat
The hybrid prince will rise at last.

(The lines of blood refer to the cuts that were given to dragons by the SharpWings to release their blood into the Memory Room's basin and reveal events from the past.)

Who springs the trap, who saves the queens,
And which of them is friend or foe?
The smallest claws must choose the path
To right a wrong from long ago.

(Umber and Mulberry spring the "trap" by bringing Harmony outside the Barrier, causing some of the queens to disappear. Which of the queens are evil and which are good is part of the question.
Either Harmony or her clutchmate must make amends to fix the Dungeon Isle situation.)

But is it wise and is it safe
To break the curse, unleash the tide.
What happens when the walls come down,
If something else was trapped inside?

(This part is questioning whether there is a greater danger behind freeing the Dungeon Isle inhabitants from the barrier and implies that there will be waves of dragons sent to retrieve their queens.)

(A tide can also mean the literal consequences; as it suggests the spell is keeping something trapped on the Dungeon Isle that is a danger if it is freed.)
