Beryl offered to show Umber and [[Sora]] around the Isle when her son, Mulberry, brought them to the Dungeon Isle. She claimed to be "so very happy" they were there. Umber thought that there was "nothing sinister about Queen Beryl," but she seemed to be "over-the-moons proud of Mulberry." and he thought she was intense.  Beryl gave her son a small hug and a pat on the head as she brought the two [[MudWings]] to meet the king, Snakeroot. As she was touring the palace, Sora pointed out a statue of a [[SeaWing]], to which Beryl replied it was their old [[animus]], [[Waterfall]], who built the palace over two thousand years ago and enchanted it to stand forever. After walking for a while, Beryl told Umber and Sora to hold still, as the [[SharpWings]] came to inspect the newcomers. She told the small dragons that Umber was category four randomly, explaining that she chose a number from one to ten as they were unsure of what the categories meant.

Beryl is an adult female SkyWing who was introduced in The Hybrid Prince. She is the mother of Mulberry and ruled as the queen of the Dungeon Isle with her partner, Ex-King Snakeroot, before being overthrown by the Triumvirate.
