"We thought it was highly unlikely that you'd leave a lowly soldier in charge rather than one of us, […] So we assumed something terrible must have happened to you."
— Permafrost talking with Snowfall, The Dangerous Gift

Permafrost is an adult male IceWing introduced in The Dangerous Gift and the uncle of Snowfall, Crystal, and Mink.

Personality

Permafrost has a smarmy and somewhat egotistical personality. He has been shown to believe that his opinion was more important than others, even the queen's.[1]

Biography

The Lost Continent Prophecy

Permafrost was mentioned to have moved down a rank for pointing out that SeaWings might have invaded the Ice Kingdom by the north to Snowfall.

He was later seen with Tundra and made Mink the temporary queen while Snowfall was in Sanctuary. Permafrost was then seen keeping himself scarce from Snowfall in order to prevent himself from dropping further down on the gift of order.

Quotes

"It's true Queen Diamond was an animus, […] but — but she wouldn't just — that is, she couldn't use her power beyond her one gift to the tribe! She wouldn't, I'm sure of it!"
― to Lynx (The Dangerous Gift, page 300)
