Opal was a female IceWing animus introduced in The Dangerous Gift. She is a spirit who guides inexperienced IceWing queens into becoming more open-minded and learning more lessons. She is the creator of the gift of vision, an opal ring that causes the wearer to have visions through other dragon's perspectives.

Appearance

Opal has unusual scales by having hint of another color behind the white in each scale, which might be the reason for her name, Opal.[1]
