Template:Charbox Herring is a male SeaWing guard serving under Queen Coral. He appears briefly in The Lost Heir, where he is seen guarding Clay, Sunny, Starflight, and Glory outside their cave in which they were chained and withholding the keys.

Biography

The Lost Heir

Herring was one of the four SeaWing guards on duty when Clay was chained to the floor of the Summer Palace. The other guards were Snail, Kelp, and Flounder. Tsunami later convinced them (rather than using violence) to give her the key to free Clay from his chains, since they would be disobeying orders if they knowingly allowed the Dragonets of Destiny to drown. Herring tells Tsunami that she had saved his brother earlier when she got him to the healers, as Queen Coral would have kept him there for the entire meeting. He also seems to believe in the prophecy.

• A herring is a kind of foraging fish that live in oceans and seas.
• Herring's Brother was the one that Tsunami arranged to be tended to by the healers, instead of having to wait throughout the entire meeting for treatment.
