Taipan is a male WildWing who was introduced in The Hybrid Prince. He used to be a bully in the Court of Refuge, alongside Dugong and Royal. After holding Mulberry hostage in support of Beryl and Snakeroot, Taipan was imprisoned in the dungeons.

Description

Taipan is short and stocky with muscular shoulders. He has Pyrrhian-shaped wings and is covered all over by sharp rose thorn spikes. His scales are green and black in blobby stripes. His two horns are sharp and bristle, with another on his snout like a rhinoceros. He has small yellow-green eyes that are surrounded by his thickest spikes. He can breathe fire. He had his wings sprayed with RainWing venom.

The Hybrid Prince

Taipan first appeared alongside Dugong and Royal when they confronted Umber and Sora in The Gathering. Taipan attempted to intimidate Umber and attacked him with fire to see if he had fireproof scales, but Umber tackled him instead.

Taipan later appeared during the Northern Lights concert when he told Beryl that he, Dugong, and Royal would catch Platypus. Taipan and the others chased Umber and Platypus into the castle, but lost them in a mirror maze. When Umber returned to Beryl to tell her that he lost Platypus, Taipan was also present and was scolded by Beryl for losing her.
