Wings of Fire (TV show) was the television adaptation of the Wings of Fire series. It was first announced in 2019,[event 1] though little was revealed about it. It was under the works of Warner Bros. Animation and would have been launched on Netflix[1] as a 3D animation.[2] As of May 15th, 2022, the TV show is cancelled[3], although another company may pick it up.[4] The first season would have contained ten episodes, each being forty minutes long. Ava DuVernay spearheaded the series, while Dan Milano and Christa Starr ran the show;[5] DuVernay, Tui T. Sutherland, Sam Register, Sarah Bremmner, and Justin Ridge worked on executive producing duties.[6] According to IMDB, as of April 2nd, 2022, the show had left Pre-Production and had begun Filming.[7] The release date was originally going to be in 2022.[citation needed]
