Wharf was a male SeaWing who was introduced in Darkstalker. As a guard, he accompanied Fathom during his visit to the Night Kingdom alongside Lionfish and Indigo. He resided in the Kingdom of the Sea.
Personality
Wharf was thick-headed,[1] and became grumpy once he was forced to do his job,[2] releasing a long, drawn-out sigh when asked to check a room for potential threats.[3] During the festival in which Quickdeath attempted to murder Darkstalker, he was blissfully unaware of his potential helpfulness.[4]
Biography
Legends
Wharf was assigned to be one of Prince Fathom's bodyguards while visiting the Night Kingdom alongside Indigo and Lionfish. He was seen suspiciously eyeing Fathom and was mentioned several times in the story for being lazy and reluctant to do his job correctly. This may have been partially the fault of the NightWing's nocturnal sleep cycle.
When Fathom and Indigo first arrived at the Night Kingdom, they found their way to their room in the NightWing palace, where they find Wharf and Lionfish already fast asleep. Indigo stated that she would have to yell at them tomorrow, inferring that they probably did not even check the suite for any sign of danger. She also stated that they were supposed to wake up whenever someone comes into the room, but Fathom explained that he knew they already hated what they were really there for.
The only notable time Wharf did his duty of guarding Fathom was after Indigo suspected that the green emerald cup Darkstalker gave Fathom was enchanted and broke it; Fathom called Wharf to see a lightning storm with him and Darkstalker instead of Indigo. He seemed confused and unhappy about the simple task.
