Tortoiseshell was a NightWing-BeetleWing hybrid of unknown gender who was mentioned in The Lost Continent. They were one of Sunstreak's and Clearsight's dragonets, along with Jewel, Commodore, and Orange.

Clearsight saw Tortoiseshell and their siblings in a vision after arriving at Pantala and saving the dragon tribes.
