Description
The ceremony was devised due to the catastrophic discovery of Albatross’s power.[1]. SeaWing dragonets are instructed to perform a simple task, such as moving a coconut with animus magic. SeaWings who successfully order the object are then declared an animus dragon.
Timeline
- When Albatross was a dragonet, he accidentally enchanted a clam to bite all of Sapphire’s claws off.[2] This event inspired the creation of the Talons of Power ceremony.
- Fathom participated in the ceremony. He successfully ordered the coconut to hit Albatross and was declared an animus dragon.
- Turtle became sick at two and did not participate in the event. No animus was announced that year.
- When Turtle turned three, Queen Coral was guarding Anemone’s egg and King Gill was taken by SkyWing forces. The ceremony was canceled.[3]
- Turtle participated at four years old. He knew he was an animus and did not want to receive attention, so he enchanted Anemone to be an animus.[4]. She successfully ordered the coconut to float and the ceremony ended.
