Opal was a female IceWing animus introduced in The Dangerous Gift. She is a spirit who guides inexperienced IceWing queens into becoming more open-minded and learning more lessons through the gift of vision. The gift of vision is an opal ring that is unable to come off untill deamed nesesary by the spirit of Opal, and causes the wearer to have visions through other character's perspectives.
Appearance
Opal has unusual scales by having hint of another color behind the white in each scale, which might be the reason for her name, Opal.[1]
