Opal was a female IceWing animus introduced in The Dangerous Gift. She is a spirit who guides inexperienced IceWing queens into becoming more open-minded and learning more lessons.
Appearance
Opal has unusual scales, like there's a hint of another color behind the white in each one. She looks like an opal.[1]
