Kelp was one of the four SeaWing guards on duty when Clay was chained to the floor of the Summer Palace. The other guards were Snail, Flounder, and Herring. Tsunami eventually convinced them to free Clay, since they'd be disobeying orders if they knowingly allowed the Dragonets of Destiny to drown while in the care of Queen Coral's guards.

Trivia

  • They were shown guarding the dragonets' cave along with Snail, Herring, and Flounder in The Lost Heir. However, Kelp and Flounder don't appear in the graphic novel adaption.
