Template:Charbox Jewel is one of the four confirmed dragonets of Sunstreak and Clearsight, along with their siblings Commodore, Orange, and Tortoiseshell. They were described as little by Clearsight, implying that they are one of the younger siblings in the family.

Jewel was first seen, among the rest of their siblings, in Clearsight's vision after arriving on Pantala. Clearsight described Jewel as "little".

• Jewel is likely named after the western jewel butterfly.
• Even though Jewel is a NightWing-BeetleWing hybrid, there is also a Jewel Hive, which is ruled by a HiveWing named Lady Jewel. This proves that names can belong to different tribes.
• There is also a NightWing seer named Jewel-eyes.
• Technically, Jewel and their siblings were the first HiveWings.
• They are one of the seven dragons to have their names re-used, along with Queen Pearl, Pearl, Lagoon, Queen Lagoon, Eclipse, Eclipse (Darkstalker), Eagle (Darkstalker), Eagle, Queen Crane, Crane, Ostrich, and Ostrich (Deserter).
