The attack on the the Summer Palace is an event appearing in book 2 The Lost Heir wherein one of the two Seawing seats of governance was destroyed by Burns coalition. This event greatly affected the war effort of the Seawings and effectively pushed them out of the war. The attack occurred in 5011 AS and notable deaths in the battle include the spy Crocodile and Whirlpool as both were killed during the duration of the battle.

Shark tried a delaying action to allow for the evacuation of the government officials and civilians but the exit tunnel was too small to fit the large amount of fleeing citizens which stalled the evacuation and the guard present was outnumbered by the advancing force so the firebombing continued leading the deaths of many citizens. TLH  TLH  TLH    Eventually the prison guards left to try to help Sharks force allowing the Dragonets of Destiny as well as Riptide and Webs to flee however before this Crocodile introduces herself to the Dragonets and gets promptly killed by Glory allowing the Dragonets and their allies to flee. The destruction of the Palace led to nearly the complete collapse of the Seawing front as the retreated underwater leaving Blister on her own. This allowed Burn to redirect her forces to prepare for an invasion of the Icewing Kingdom.
