Not much is known about Manta's personality, but she was shown to be open-minded and welcoming when she complimented [[Indigo]] on a necklace borrowed from [[Queen Pearl|Pearl]]. Before her death, she expressed kindness towards Indigo and Fathom, comforting her son at the party by pointing out his favorite foods on display. She didn't appear to discriminate Indigo for her low-born status or lack of royal heritage, instead welcoming her as if she were part of the family. She seemed to care about her son Fathom very much, unlike some royalty, as she begged Albatross to let him live (although in vain). When Albatross snapped, Manta went after him to try to calm him down, suggesting she is a kind and supportive dragon.

Manta was an adult female SeaWing who was introduced in Darkstalker. She was a SeaWing princess and resided in the Kingdom of the Sea until she was killed by Albatross during the Royal SeaWing Massacre. She was Fathom's and Pearl's mother, the wife of Reef, and Albatross's daughter.

Personality

Manta often laughed[1] and smiled, and did not seem to mind that Indigo had borrowed Pearl's jewelry to attend a diplomatic party.[2] Her way of handling everything was to attempt to calm others down.[3] Unlike her aunt, Queen Lagoon, Manta was never stuck-up or cruel to dragons of the lower-class and openly went out of her way to fulfill the task of deep-sea diving Lagoon had assigned to Indigo out of petty spite. It seems Manta was relatively close to her father, Albatross, before his descent into madness, as Albatross appeared fond of her.
