This page is for weapons used by dragons and scavengers.

Dragon Weapons

  • Assassins such as Deathbringer and Cobra used poison, as well as chakrams, throwing knives and daggers.
  • Dragons have used spears in many of the books.
  • In The Lost Heir, Moon Rising, and Escaping Peril, dragonflame cacti are used similarly to explosives, although they are plants and shoot spikes.
  • Natural weapons such as teeth, claws, fire, venom, and frostbreath are the ones most commonly used, as well as SeaWings using their blinding stripes and powerful tails.
  • There are three daggers, a sword, and a large stick in the weapons cave/box at Jade Mountain Academy.
  • RainWings and LeafWings have been known to use blowguns.
  • Some HiveWing soldiers have been seen carrying "long, needle-like lances".
  • Pronged spears are used by NightWings to push the enemies back into the lava when the enemies wanted to escape from the lava.
  • Peril is the only dragon who uses firescales to fight that is alive today. Not only can she attack with them, but they can be used defensively because they make her immune to fire or heat-based attacks, metal weapons melt on contact with her, and the heat from her scales charbroils most venoms to impotency in seconds, but acids like RainWing venom might still harm her.
  • Animus Dragons such as Princess Anemone can use their magic to fight.
  • LeafWings use dangerous plants and animals from the Poison Jungle to assist them in fighting.

Scavenger Weapons

  • Some of them wield swords, like Rose, Heath, and Stone, who killed Queen Oasis.
  • Spears are used by scavengers, too.
  • They also use their hands if they don't have a weapon (i.e. slapping, flailing, punching) though it would not do much to a dragon.
  • In Winter Turning, a fortified town of scavengers made a catapult-type weapon that launched a flaming spear. It is possible that this was a ballista but this has not been confirmed.
    • In Dragonslayer, Undauntable mentions that the Indestructible City uses catapults to fight flying dragons, and that all the guards/soldiers wear spiked armor to make it harder for a dragon to pick them up.
