- In an interview with Tui T Sutherland, when asked the question of who would be the protagonist, she replied, "So, I actually can't tell you because I'm trying to decide between a couple of dragons. So I have a short list, Luna and Swordtail are on it, but there's a couple of Phyrria dragons that I'm considering too, there's a couple that are on both continents that only show up briefly in Book Thirteen, but I've got really excited about them, so I can't tell you until I decide. Yeah, I love Willow."
The interview took place on November 9th, 2019, and it is still unknown if Tui has decided yet.
