Book 9 is the ninth book in the Wings of Fire series. Tui T. Sutherland has confirmed that the main character is a SeaWing. At The Brightest Night's launch party, she mentioned a possible return of a SeaWing royal daughter, or perhaps Turtle, one of Tsunami's brothers. It has been confirmed that the protagonist is related to Tsunami, so it could be a male prince. No official title or release date has been confirmed.
Tui T. Sutherland said on her blog that the ninth book will be the one to "rip out your heart and stomp on it."
