Template:Charbox Silverspot is an adult female SilkWing who appeared in The Lost Continent. She is Luna's biological mother, Blue's stepmother, and Burnet's partner. Her former mate is Admiral. She is abused by her mistress, who takes her anger out on her SilkWing workers.

Personality

Silverspot seems more emotionally connected to her children than her partner, Burnet. This is shown when she claims that she will try to attend Luna's metamorphosis, and that she also expressed concern for her fate. She also loves Burnet more than her previous partner, Admiral.

It was mentioned that she and Burnet were both former assigned partners of Admiral at roughly the same time. However, he was supposedly "whisked away to another Hive once there were eggs," which was presumably a lie of Queen Wasp's to cover up the truth about flamesilks. Silverspot ended up being given the partner of her choice, Burnet, which was nearly unheard of. Even so, they "loved each other more than they ever loved Admiral," as stated by Blue. When Blue and Luna were leaving to get honey drops, Silverspot told her daughter to have a wonderful "last" day, causing suspicion and worry from Blue. She said that she might not make it to the Cocoon for Luna's metamorphosis, but that she would try. Luna was happy and wanted them to go flying together when she had wings, but Silverspot seemed anxious and fearful. Silverspot ended up not making it to Luna's metamorphosis. Burnet then mentioned that she and Silverspot had always suspected that Luna and Blue were flamesilks, although they never told their dragonets. Blue thinks of Silverspot and Burnet a number of times afterwards, stating that he misses them both and that he wouldn't just leave them at the mercy of the HiveWings.

• She is one of the ten confirmed LGBTQ+ characters in the series. The others are Umber, Burnet, Snowfox, Anemone, Snowflake, Sundew, Willow, and Violet's fathers. It is unknown whether she is bisexual, a lesbian, or a different orientation, but she is in a lesbian relationship with Burnet.
  • Silverspot and Burnet are the first known LGBTQ+ couple in the series to raise offspring together, the second being Violet's fathers.
