Osprey

Template:Infobox Osprey was a nearly blind, pale red elderly SkyWing who was the defense for the SkyWing trials. He didn't argue very well, most likely because Queen Scarlet would have executed him she didn't get her way. Queen Scarlet holds the trials to seem like a just ruler, as well as for entertainment. He was also Peril's (Kestrel's daughter) friend.

History

Osprey told Peril stories of his younger self, when he guarded countless tons of treasure. However, one day a scavenger came to steal it and managed to paralyze his tail before he ate it. Osprey has lost the ability to fly, and gave all his treasure to Queen Scarlet in order for him to live there.

Unfortunately, during Kestrel's trial, (against Vermillion, Scarlet's son) he argued a good defense. He explained that Kestrel had followed Queen Scarlet's next order to kill one of the twins, and that the remaining would be spared. However, Queen Scarlet then changed her mind and told her guards - one of them being Osprey - to kill Peril and take Kestrel back for a trial. Kestrel escaped, evading a trial until she was captured when Clay's plan accidentally led the Queen Scarlet to the cave. Back at the trial, the SkyWing Queen decided Kestrel was still guilty, and ordered Osprey to be executed for boring her, along with Kestrel. Peril called upon the tradition of the Champion's Shield, and stood for Kestrel, her mother. After Queen Scarlet discovered that Osprey told her about the SkyWing law, she dropped him high above the arena, and as he cannot fly, he is dragged by the useless weight of his tail, and he falls to his doom.
