Misbehaver's Way is where HiveWings put misbehaving SilkWings and other HiveWings in Cicada Hive. In The Lost Continent, Blue mentions how he used to go on "field trips" there with his school, probably arranged to scare the SilkWing dragonets into obedience. It is described as having pathways made of sharp, cobbled stone, with stone tablets chiseled with rules or quotes, as well as a dramatic description of the crimes each of the prisoners had committed.

A special unit of HiveWings with paralyzing nerve toxins in their tail barbs or claws stab the misbehavers, leaving them completely paralyzed for a day. The paralyzed SilkWings and HiveWings are then put on display to frighten other dragons into obedience. Swordtail tells Blue that at first, the poison is painful, like a fire burning every nerve in your body, but then it is just uncomfortable to not be able to move or even blink. It wears off after roughly a day. It is unknown but probable that a system similar to this is used in the rest of the hives.

The only known antidote to the paralyzing toxin is a green steroid used to make plants grow faster. The chemical is used by evaporating it then inhaling the vapor. This also causes the patient to have a lot of energy and be 'loopy' for a while, as well as gaining a green tint to their eyes. This antidote was discovered by Cricket when rescuing Swordtail from Misbehaver's Way.

Trivia

  • When Blue brought up the "Misbehaver's Way" in Wasp Hive, Cricket jokingly commented that it was probably "more like headless corpses way.".
