They are based on insects, but primarily off of wasps.[1] It is likely that the Legend of the Hive mentioned by Hope in the epilogue of Darkness of Dragons is about them. HiveWings, along with SilkWings and LeafWings, were confirmed by Tui to be the three Pantalan dragon tribes. HiveWings and SilkWings are the 2 extant tribes remaining in Pantala

2 HiveWings can be seen at the very top right corner. (It can be inferred that they are HiveWings as they have black and yellow stripes) They have bigger wings than SilkWings, and only have 1 pair of horns.
