Template:Infobox Character Herring is a male SeaWing and was one of the SeaWing guards on duty when Clay was chained to the floor of Blister's cave with the other dragonets in the Summer Palace. The other guards were Snail, Kelp, and Flounder.

The Lost Heir

Herring was on duty with Snail, Kelp, and Flounder when Clay was chained to the floors of the Summer Palace. Tsunami tried to convince them to hand over the keys but they refused, saying that it was their orders. Luckily, Tsunami thought of a way by saying that the world would be agonized if the dragonets of destiny didn't survive and it would be all their fault. One of the guards explained that Tsunami saved his brother when she told him to have his injuries looked at. Snail then handed the keys over while all the others hoped Tsunami would remember them when she was queen.
