Garnet is shown briefly flying around Jade Mountain with two other SkyWing students, Thrush and Peregrine.

Trivia

• A garnet is a type of red gemstone, and is January's birthstone.
• Garnet is the third SkyWing to appear who is named after a type of gem, the others being Carnelian and Queen Ruby/Tourmaline.
• Most SkyWings named after red gems appear to be royal, with lower-ranking dragons taking the names of mountian-related things, such as Avalanche, Osprey, and Eagle, but Garnet and Carnelian seem to be exceotions to this tradition, with gem-related names despite being just soldiers.
