Clubtail
Clubtail is an adult male SilkWing who was introduced in The Lost Continent. He is one of the ten flamesilk SilkWings who were kept by Queen Wasp and was last seen enslaved in the flamesilk factory. Like Admiral, he was sent out once to have eggs in the hope of having more flamesilks, but none of his dragonets were flamesilks.
Personality
According to Danaid, he is nice but never stops talking.[1] Admiral describes him as selfish and ignorant.[2]
Biography
The Lost Continent Prophecy
While meeting Blue for the first time, Admiral explained to his son that he feels so lucky to have two flamesilk dragonets, as none of Clubtail's dragonets inherited the ability.
When Danaid listed all the flamesilks in the flamesilk factory to Blue, she mentions Clubtail.
Admiral mentioned him when he told Blue that he would never work with dragons like Clubtail, Danaid, or Whitespeck.
Trivia
- Clubtail is possibly named after Losaria coon, the common clubtail, a species of butterfly, or the Gomphidae family of dragonflies, commonly known as clubtails, although this is less likely as SilkWings are typically only named after butterflies and moths.
