Chrysalis
The Chrysalis is a secretive underground movement of SilkWings who were planning to overthrow Queen Wasp. They appear to be similar to the Talons of Peace, as they are both little-known covert organizations (although this is no longer true for the Talons of Peace). The Chrysalis is exclusively made up of SilkWings. There is a Chrysalis group in each Hive, although according to Swordtail there may not be one in Wasp Hive.[1] It appears that around 30-40 SilkWings is the average number of members per Hive, although Bloodworm Hive's group may have more members while Jewel Hive only has around 5-7 members. They identify themselves to other members using the phrase "The seeds will grow again,"[2] which could be a reference to the flamesilks being freed, the trees coming back, or both.
In the metamorphosis chamber of Cicada Hive, many of the silk tapestries contain small, hidden red symbols shaped like teardrops, which Blue calls "leafdrops."[3] These symbols may be related to the Chrysalis.
The Chrysalis was first mentioned in The Lost Continent and made its real debut in The Hive Queen when Blue, Swordtail, Cricket, and Sundew were searching for potential allies.
