Chafer is an adult male HiveWing who appears in The Lost Continent and is the owner of The Sugar Dream.

Appearance

Chafer has a long red tail.

Personality

He is shown to be a firm believer in the Hive hierarchy but is "willing to test" Lady Scarab's place in it, probably because Scarab does not get along well with her niece, Queen Wasp. As such, Chafer was quick to treat Blue and Luna rather rudely due to being SilkWings, and seems to dislike the tribe. His voice was described as being oily and tense.

He appears when Luna and Blue enter his shop while he is serving Scarab. He was evidently annoyed with SilkWings being in his shop and tried to pressure them into leaving. When two more HiveWings entered The Sugar Dream, he agreed to help them first, continuing to avoid serving Blue and Luna. He turns a blind eye when the two HiveWings bother them.

After the two HiveWings left, Chafer tried again to get Blue and Luna out of his store. This time, however, Lady Scarab interfered, using her special ability to produce an awful smell, referred to by Luna as "super stink powers." She was using it to force Chafer to serve Blue and Luna, as he was horrified that he would have to close his shop. He quickly gave them their honey drops, begging them to leave.
