Bumblebee
Template:Charbox Bumblebee is a newborn female HiveWing that appears in The Hive Queen.
Biography
She is first encountered as an egg when Cricket sneaks into the HiveWing nest in order to confirm a suspicion she has concerning the Queen's mind control and unhatched HiveWings. Cricket notices that some of the eggs have a full marking while she found Bumblebee's only had one mark after she had accidentally bumped it with her tail and caught it. She had then wrapped her egg in her scarf and hid up in the crossbeams of The Nest, waiting for Queen Wasp to arrive.
When Queen Wasp arrives Cricket discovers that the mind control is an effect of something she injects into the egg. The markings on the eggs show how many times she had injected them. Once the Queen leaves Cricket exits The Nest with the egg to notify Sundew on how the Queen does her mind control. Blue asks about the egg in which Cricket responds promptly. Unfortunately, Sundew does not believe the information is enough to call off the LeafWing attack.
The next morning the egg begins to hatch causing Cricket to go into a panic. She speaks to it saying that it wasn't time to hatch and to "Stay IN THERE." Sundew tells her that it disagrees with Cricket. Once it hatched, Swordtail and Blue called her cute. Sundew had brought food for her, but had demanded that she didn't know that it came from her. Blue had noted that she looked like a bumblebee and thus she was dubbed Bumblebee. At that moment they noticed that the egg was green from the fluid that she was injected with once. Sundew mentions that the familiar smell came from when they first met at Queen Wasp's greenhouse.
Finding an opportunity when the LeafWings attacked Bloodworm Hive, they headed towards the Wasp Hive. They took Bumblebee with them, who made noises as they tried to sneak into the greenhouses, and entered to burn the plants. Bumblebee seems to have a liking towards Sundew as Sundew constantly talks to her thinking she is mocking her. The dragonets took one of the plants for analysis and to find a cure and once their mission was complete they all headed northward to The Poison Jungle.
