Brightest night
(You could be looking for the book of the same name. This article refers to the actual night.)
The Brightest Night is when the prophecy dragonets were born. It is when, about every one hundred years, all three moons are full.
History
Darkstalker was born on the brightest night, as was supposed to be Whiteout. The Dragonets of Destiny were also born on the brightest night. Not much is known about the brightest night though.
Next Brightest Night
It seems that there has been a brightest night during the first arc, but that is confirmed to be false. That “fake” brightest night was a comet or asteroid or something else in space so bright it looked like a moon. The next true brightest night will probably be sometime in a hundred years after the one the dragonets hatched on.
Trivia
- It is mentioned several times throughout the arc series, and in Darkstalker, that Clearsight may have thought of the brightest night as a curse—because of the powerful NightWings that could hatch from it.
- There is probably a Darkest Night, where all of the moons are new. This has never been shown, however, and cannot be determined.
- Any NightWing born on the brightest night will have enhanced mind reading and future seeing powers.
- Starflight is the only known NightWing to hatch on the brightest night and not have any powers.
