Anhinga was an adult female MudWing who was featured in A Guide to the Dragon World. She ruled as queen of the MudWings before being challenged and killed by her daughter Egret. Before her death, she resided in the MudWing palace.

Anhinga was careful to make sure her tribe stayed safe and well-ordered.[1]
Biography
Pre-Series
Anhinga ruled as queen of the MudWings centuries prior to Queen Moorhen's rule. She had a clutch of five eggs which provided two heirs to the throne, Egret and Bayou. Eventually, Anhinga was challenged for the throne and killed by Egret.

Anhinga was not affectionate toward her dragonets as is typical with MudWing families.[2] She was not afraid of her daughters as she understood that she had to have heirs in order to keep her tribe organized.[1]
