Albatross
Template:Infobox CharacterAlbatross was an animus male SeaWing, known as a prince and SeaWing hero who lived many thousand years ago. He was also one of the first known animus dragons. He was related to the SeaWing royal family and died after overusing his animus abilities and ultimately going insane. Once beloved, he slaughtered nine dragons before he was killed with a spear to his chest.
Biography
Pre-Series
Albatross used his animus powers to create the pavilion of the Summer Palace. However, Albatross ended up going insane from his animus curse after overusing his abilities and attempted to kill everyone, including his sister (the current queen of his time). He was stopped and eventually put down by a spear through his chest.
Anemone made references to Albatross several times, saying that she didn't wish to use her animus powers and go insane like him. Unfortunately, Albatross's hard work may have been in vain, considering the Summer Palace was destroyed during this book-at the end- though it was well hidden and had stayed that way prior to it's destruction.
Albatross is mentioned in the scroll Moon reads to find out about Dreamvisitors. The scroll describes the Royal SeaWing Massacre, and how his insanity influenced Queen Pearl to ban the use of animus magic on the Sea Kingdom.
After Turtle uses his animus power to take the scroll from Shapeshifter, Moon mentions Albatross while asking how Turtle is feeling.
