Cochineal

Appearance

Nothing definite is known, but it's possible that she has red scales like her namesake.

Biography

The Hive Queen

Lady Scarab mentions Cochineal in a conversation with Cricket, saying that she was told that the Book of Clearsight said that Cochineal must be the next Queen. Lady Scarab also says that her sister was a much better liar than she was, likely why she was chosen by their mother.

Trivia

• It's very likely (though not yet totally confirmed) that Cochineal is Queen Wasp's mother since Lady Scarab is Wasp's aunt and Lady Scarab has no other mentioned sisters.
• A cochineal is a small, grub-like bug.
