Brightest night
From Wings of Fire Fandom Mirror
The brightest night is a celestial phenomenon occurring once every hundred years, wherein all three of Pyrrhia's moons are full simultaneously.
Description
Brightest nights occur when all three of Pyrrhia's moons are full on the same night.
NightWings in the time of Darkstalker knew that a thrice-moonborn dragonet would be exceptionally powerful, with their powers of prophecy and mind-reading enhanced by the third moon.[1]
Timeline
- Two brightest nights have occurred in the series — one around 3,007 AS (Darkstalker's hatching night) and one in 5,005 AS (the hatching of the dragonets of destiny).[1][2]
- A false brightest night occurred in 5,011 AS during the events of The Brightest Night.[3] This was caused by a comet passing through the sky, acting as a false fourth moon and causing earthquakes on the Pyrrhian continent.[4]
