Vengeance
Vengeance was a deep black, scarred NightWing with several melted scales[1] and bubbles of flesh along his jawline,[2] a snout twisted by a long, RainWing-venom-caused scar that closes one nostril,[3] rasping breath and a hoarse, wet voice.[4]
Biography
Vengeance was the kidnapper of Glory and Queen Splendor. He is mentioned, though not by name, when Glory is taken to the Night Kingdom. When he attempted to capture Splendor, she accidentally sprayed him with her venom, scarring his face and giving him an intense hatred for all RainWings.
He interrupts the council meeting where Starflight is being interrogated about the RainWings' plan. Greatness tells him that he is not invited or welcome at the meeting, but he argues that he knows more about the RainWings than any other dragon there. Greatness then accuses him of disobeying orders by kidnapping Glory, even after Deathbringer had warned them not to. He tells the council that Deathbringer had allowed Clay to pass through the tunnel, causing Deathbringer to be taken to the dungeon. Queen Battlewinner tells Greatness that Vengeance must be executed for capturing Glory, as he caused so much trouble. A group of NightWing guards then grab him and throw him into a lava pool. Vengeance struggles to get out of the lava but guards using long spears keep him submerged until he eventually burns to death and disappears under the lava.
Later on, Starflight wonders about Queen Scarlet and how she could still be alive, as Glory's venom didn't hit her in the eyes. He thinks that if she was still alive, she would look like Vengeance, which was "not a good thing".
