Tailwind is an adult female SkyWing who was featured in A Guide to the Dragon World. She is the author of This is Why We Don't Marry Psychopaths and currently resides in the SkyWing palace.

Description

Tailwind is old enough to remember Scarlet as a baby dragonet.

Personality

Tailwind does not care about arranging her jewels properly or matching her rings to her eyes. She instead prefers to make and use swords and armor. She cites her ability to stay out of Queen Firestorm's way as the reason she was never kicked out of the palace. She describes herself as “not the sentimental sort”.

Biography

Pre-Series

Tailwind lived in the SkyWing palace during the reign of Queen Firestorm. She would avoid the queen, preferring to make and use swords instead of caring about her appearance. She was brought in to teach a class while Scarlet was still in the wingery which started her dislike for the princess.

Years later, Tailwind's brother, Canyon, told her that he had a crush on Scarlet which Tailwind teased him about. When Tailwind learned that Canyon and Scarlet were getting married, Tailwind attended the royal wedding.

When Canyon was put into the arena, Tailwind gifted her brother throwing daggers and armor, but Canyon did not survive.

Canyon

Despite Canyon being her brother, Tailwind was not sentimental toward him. She believed that there was not a lot to love about him and viewed him as a dragon she happened to be related to. She found him insufferable, but still attended his wedding with Scarlet. Although Tailwind described Canyon as egotistical, dim, careless, and self-obsessive, she gifted Canyon throwing daggers and armor for when he got put in the arena.
