Sundew
Template:SpoilerTLC Template:Charbox Sundew is a female LeafWing and one of the three known LeafWings left alive, along with her mother Belladonna and her father Hemlock. She helped Cricket and Blue.
Appearance
Sundew is said to have "very green" scales, with small gold scales speckled along the edges of her wings, talons, and across her snout. Her face is similar to her mother's, and she wears several small pouches, woven from long grass or fashioned from leaves.
Biography
Sundew appeared later in the book, asking her mother to kill Blue, Cricket, and Swordtail then leave their bodies in someplace "That will really scare those worms in the Hive." Belladonna immediately said no. Sundew helped Blue and Cricket steal the Book of Clearsight. Blue thought about betraying her and about her fake second pair of wings. In the Temple of Clearsight, she paralyzes several HiveWing guards from a distance with blow-darts. She also rakes her talons across the face of a carving of Queen Wasp. Cricket yelled that it was unnecessary, but all Sundew said was, "Wait till I get to her actual face." They walk by a large painting of Clearsight, which takes up most of the wall. It has offerings piled below it. Sundew later fought The Librarian while she was under Queen Wasp's mind control. Although The Librarian was bigger and stronger, Sundew broke her arm and nearly killed her before Cricket intervened. Sundew then freed The Librarian of Queen Wasp's mind control using a bullet ant.
Personality
Sundew is very aggressive at first, but seems to calm down as she grows closer to Blue and Cricket. She appears to be very skillful at fighting, as shown when she fought The Librarian in the Temple of Clearsight. She is an expert on using bugs and plants as certain weapons.
She has a disliking towards HiveWings due to what they have done to her tribe, as well as SilkWings for submitting to Queen Wasp.
