Hvitur
Hvitur was a moon-silver IceWing. He was former member of the Talons of Peace and a believer of the prophecy. He was to be one of the Guardians of the Dragonets, but was caught and killed by Burn before he could return to the cave with the SkyWing egg.
History
Hvitur, along with Kestrel, Webs, Dune, and Asha was charged with the task to find and protect the Dragonets of Destiny. During their quest to steal the dragonets' eggs, he broke into the SkyWing Palace to steal the prophesied SkyWing egg. Unfortunately, on the way out, he was located and attacked by Burn and two of her guards. Burn ordered the two soldiers to chain him with hot manacles, preventing him from using his freezing breath on her by raising his temperature. During that time, she toyed with the egg and watched Hvitur plead desperately for its safety, which proved his credence and hope for prophecy and willingness to do what he must to make it come true. Annoyed and angry, Burn dramatically dropped the egg over a cliff and proceeded to shred Hvitur's wings after the IceWing desperately tried to save the egg. She tormented him saying you'll never see the dragonets and soon Eventually, she stabbed him through the skull with her barbed, venom-tipped tail. Hvitur was flung off the same cliff. Some time later, Kestrel found the IceWing's corpse (nobody knows if the corpse was there, and it only mentioned the shell) at the bottom of the cliff, along with a few fragments of eggshell of the SkyWing egg.

Trivia
- Hvitur means "white" in the language of Icelandic.
- It is also a type of horse in Iceland.
- Hvitur was the first dragon to die in the series. The Skywing dragonet also possibly survived, when Kestrel found Hvitur's body, there were only shell fragments, no dragonet body.
- Hvitur is also one the first mentioned dragons in the whole book series, including Burn, and her guards.
