Human (language)

Human is the language spoken by scavengers (or humans). From a dragon's perspective, Human sounds like squeaking and chirping noises to dragons, while Dragon sounds like growling and screeching nonsense to humans.

Trivia

• Sky is the only dragon known to partially speak Human.
• In Dragonslayer it was noted that Sky's snout was not as good at pronouncing words in Human as Wren's mouth was able to pronounce words in Dragon.
• Wren states that Sky says she often mixes up her grrawrs and growls when talking to Rose.
• The main words in human language as depicted in the books are Yibble, Yobble, and other squeaky noises.
• The dragons see scavenger language as insignificant and squeaky and, from Clay, "other annoying scavenger noises."
