It was mentioned that she and Silverspot were both former assigned partners of Admiral (not at the same time). However, he was moved to another Hive when Blue and Luna were eggs. She ended up being given the partner of her chouce, Silverspot, which was unheard of. But, they loved eachother more than they ever loved Admiral.
