Bigwings

Bigwings are the eldest and largest dragonet in a Mudwing clutch (a group of siblings). The are the first to hatch and help his/her younger siblings hatch (by cracking open the eggshells). When grown, they become leaders of sibling groups. Clay is a bigwings in his clutch, as is Reed.
