Animus enchantments are spells cast by a dragon using animus magic. They are typically cast on objects, although dragons, animals, and plants may be enchanted as well.
IceWing gifts are large-scale animus enchantments that are supposed to contribute to the Ice Kingdom.
Enchanted to have no harm happen to her,[15] to stop growing at the age of an adult,[16] and later to lose a body part every time she cast a spell. This last one is irreversible.[17]
Enchanted to forget everything that happened in the throne room. However, the enchantment failed, as her enchanted skyfire protected her from all of Darkstalker's magic.[19]
Presumably enchanted to fly as fast as he could to Vulture's compound in the Scorpion Den, not stopping to rest or do anything until he delivers a message saying that Darkstalker was going to become the king of the NightWings and that he would ally with Vulture.[24]
Enchanted to materialize in crevasse with Darkstalker and Qibli first to obey Darkstalker's every command, then to have the mind of a newborn dragonet, then to undo the last spell and to make him feel guilty for all the things he has done, then to be a grandfather who loves Qibli more than anything else in the world. He then vanished after Darkstalker whispered something in his ear.[25]
Created with Darkstalker's scroll and worn as a necklace. Fully turns the user into a female SkyWing named Pyrite. Later, it was added onto the spell that whoever wore the necklace would be loyal to Queen Scarlet, with her memories and none of the user's own, and would never want to take it off.[30] The last part of the spell was later ripped off by Qibli.[31]
Created for Tourmaline with Darkstalker's scroll and worn as an earring.[32] Fully changes the appearance and personality of the user and prevents them from ever winning a challenge against Queen Scarlet.[33] Later recreated to retain all memories of Ruby and the wearer.[34]
Enchanted to help Turtle find objects he has lost or dragons he needs to find.[44] The coral will not stop its search until its desired object is being touched, but will also not fly away on its own. It will squirm and poke whenever it is picked up if its request is unfulfilled.[45]
Enchanted during the Talons of Power ceremony to wrestle themselves loose from a nearby tree, fly down to the beach, and roll in front of each of the dragonets present.[52]

Enchanted with Darkstalker's scroll so that when Darkstalker eats it, he will be turned into a one-year-old NightWing-RainWing hybrid dragonet with no memories of his former life and a love for strawberries.[63]
Three bracelets and a dome near the SandWing border. The bracelets are enchanted to let the wearer pass the Great Ice Cliff despite their tribe and keep them warm in the Ice Kingdom, while the dome is heated so dragons do not have to wear the bracelet inside.[69]
The Moon Globe Tree, a frosty white tree claw-carved from ice by Frostbite.[71] It is enchanted to grow moon globes, small silver spheres of light that can be picked up and float where they are released.[72]
A pair of diamond-encrusted wristbands.[75] When worn and smashed together three times, the wearer can cause themselves or any other dragon within sight to become totally invisible[76] and unable to be heard by anyone but the other invisible dragons.[77]
The Diamond Caves, enchanted so that anyone who touches Hope (formerly known as Foeslayer), a NightWing locked inside with animus-touched shackles, with a diamond-tipped spear will free her from a frozen stasis. When stabbed again, Hope dies a painful death before being re-frozen and resurrected. Later turned into a ceremony called the Diamond Trial.[81] The tradition of the Diamond Trial was ended by Winter when he rescued Hope from the shackles, which could only be unlocked by breathing frostbreath on small indented diamonds in them.[82]
A ring set with an opal and imbued with Opal's soul, causing the wearer to experience the perspective of other dragons during their sleep or when Opal chooses to pull them into a vision, whether it happened in the past or is currently happening. It only appears to young queens who rose to the throne too soon, to help them grow and become better queens. When Opal decides the visions are sufficient, the wearer has a vision of themselves in the Forbidden Treasury with Opal, and when they wake up the ring vanishes. It cannot be removed from the wearer's claw until its work is done.[83]
Accidentally enchanted to make Turtle's scales as hard as diamonds, his bones unbreakable, and himself impossible to hurt. This was meant only to be temporary, but the phrasing was wrong.[60]

Enchanted to turn into a bucket of water and a mop and to repeatedly hit Moon over the head until Anemone says that Moon is done cleaning the room.[97]
Enchanted to protect Anemone's soul from the use of her animus magic. Both the bracelet and Turtle's armband stipulate that they can only cast magic that does not affect another dragon's free will or any magic that is selfishly motivated.[15]
Three star-shaped sapphires[113] that glow with an eerie blue light, enchanted to grant the user the ability to enter the dreams of another dragon. When the user holds the dreamvisitor to their forehead, they must concentrate on their target. If the target is in shallow sleep, or is experiencing a nightmare, the user can see the target and the target's dream, but the target will not be able to hear or see the user. If the dragon is in a deep, calm sleep, the user can talk to the dreamer.[114] One can only dreamvisit someone they have seen before.[event 1] They were originally created to connect Darkstalker, Fathom, and Clearsight.
A black cabochon accented with red-gold-orange dragon wings made from molded, beaten gold, set on a chain of hammered golden links.[117] Enchanted to decide whether or not the holder would be an acceptable ruler of the SandWings, without taking their bloodline into account.[118] However, it destroys any dragon unworthy to be the SandWing ruler by summoning a form of magical lightning that vaporizes the dragon and turns it into a pile of dust.[119]
Enchanted to give its wearer nightmares and induce extreme paranoia towards all NightWings, ensuring that all future IceWing queens would continue to resent and wage war against the NightWings far into the future.[122]
Enchanted to prevent Clearsight from seeing any negative visions of the future.[124]
Obsidian Mirror
Unknown
An oblong piece of glittering black obsidian,[125] enchanted to show the current actions and words of a named dragon to the user. The mirror is activated by naming a dragon and breathing smoke onto the surface, and the dragon it shows is represented by a curl of colored smoke, matching their scales.[126]
Enchanted to make whichever dragon wears it immune to all of Darkstalker's spells, past, present, and future.[129] Later duplicated many times for the use of others.
Enchanted to hold Darkstalker's animus magic, granting the written wish of anyone who writes on it. Also enchanted to give him a "mental twinge" whenever someone else uses it.
A telescope with a small golden hourglass mounted on the side,[132] enchanted to represent how much of a dragon's soul is good and how much is evil using sand. The white sand represents evil, and good is represented by black sand.[133]
A statue made of dark green marble,[134] with sapphire eyes,[135] and decorated with garlands of blue and purple underwater plants woven through its horns and wings.[136] Enchanted to kill all female heirs to the SeaWing throne in the Royal Hatchery.[137]
Enchanted to protect Turtle's soul from the use of his animus magic. Both the armband and Anemone's bracelet stipulate that they can only cast magic that does not affect another dragon's free will or any magic that is selfishly motivated.[15]
A piece of driftwood, enchanted to carve itself into the shape of an octopus, then come to life as a gift for Indigo, and to have the sweetest, most loyal, most agreeable personality of any pet in Pyrrhia.[144]
Enchanted so that when anything is dropped in the bowl and the dragon says "Twice as much, please" the contents of the bowl double, keeping any spells on the objects.[145]

Enchanted to connect the minds of every dragon in the battle of Jade Mountain so that all of the dragons could feel all of the other dragons' emotions and know whose they were thinking for a hundred heartbeats, and then to return them all to normal and to teleport all the IceWings to the IceWing palace and the NightWings to the Great Diamond, safe and unharmed, as well as to remove the love spell on Kinkajou.[159]
Enchanted so that when it shatters, it shatters the power of all current animus dragons. From that point, no spells cast by any animus dragon alive today will ever work again, Jerboa III will grow old and die like a normal dragon, and makes the spell irreversible by any animus including herself.[162]
Enchanted to kill an IceWing every full moon in secret, under cover of darkness, and to carve messages near the body warning that they will soon all be dead, for one year unless Darkstalker summons it back.[10]
