Winglets

Not to be confused with the Wings of Fire: Winglets, which are short ebooks in the series.

Winglets are a group system for the classes of dragonets at Jade Mountain Academy. There are seven dragons or dragonets in each winglet, one from each of the seven dragon tribes. Groups of two or three dragonets from a winglet share a cave, making them clawmates. In all, there are five Winglets.

Trivia

• Books six through ten appear to focus around the Jade Winglet.
• Not much of the other winglets has been seen.
• Anemone, Turtle, Icicle, and Winter are the only known royal figures in the winglets.
• Jade Winglet: Winter, Umber, Moonwatcher, Kinkajou, Qibli, Turtle, and Carnelian (Peril unofficially joins this winglet).
• Gold Winglet: Icicle, Sora, Bigtail, Tamarin, Onyx, Pike, and Flame.
• Silver Winglet: Changbai, Sepia, Fearless, Boto, Ostrich, Anemone, and Thrush.
• Copper Winglet: Alba, Marsh, Mindreader, Coconut, Pronghorn, Snail, and Peregrine.
• Quartz Winglet: Ermine, Newt, Mightyclaws, Siamang, Arid, Barracuda, and Garnet.
