He is the announcer of the SkyWing arena matches and is the prosecutor in trials. He is also in Winter Turning's end and The Brightest Night's collector's edition, about Smolder telling him how to care for a pet scavenger.
Biography
Vermilion, although unnamed at the time, was the announcer for the fight between Horizon and Peril. Later on, Vermilion stood as the prosecutor on Kestrel's trial. The next day, he announced the battles on his mother's hatching day. Tsunami nearly attacked him before her fight with Gill. Then he announced for Clay's battle against Fjord.
According to the Collector's Edition, Smolder had sent Vermilion a letter about his pet scavenger, Flower, and how to take care for one. Smolder sent a return letter with tips and instructions.
Smolder sends a letter of advice to Vermilion about scavenger care.
Trivia
- "Vermillion" is another way to spell the word, but isn't the correct spelling for the character of the series.
- It was revealed in The Brightest Night Collector's Edition that Vermilion was considering having a scavenger as a pet like Smolder does.
- According to Tui T. Sutherland in a forum Q&A, more of him and Ruby in Escaping Peril will be featured.
