Vermilion is a SkyWing prince and the brother of Queen Ruby. He is Queen Scarlet's only known son, with scales of a vibrant blood-red. He is the announcer of the arena matches, which he does on a sand mound.
Vermilion also argued for the prosecution in almost all of Queen Scarlet's trials. He was nearly attacked by Tsunami during the fight between her and Gill.
In the collector's edition of The Brightest Night, a letter from Smolder to Vermilion is featured. Smolder talks to Vermilion about his pet Scavenger, Flower.
