Tapir was an elderly male RainWing who was mentioned in The Hidden Kingdom. He was one of the seventeen RainWings imprisoned on the NightWing island, and died in NightWing captivity of intentional starvation.
Biography
The Dragonet Prophecy
Tapir was briefly mentioned by Mangrove to Glory when she asked him about the missing RainWings. Mangrove claimed that Tapir was the oldest of the lost dragons, being roughly one hundred ten years of age.
While imprisoned by the NightWings, Glory was told by Kinkajou that the food the NightWings brought the RainWings was disgusting and rotten and that Tapir eventually let himself starve to death to avoid having to eat it. Trivia
- Dying at around one hundred ten years old, Tapir is one of the oldest known dragons whose longevity was not caused by animus magic.
