Tapir was a RainWing mentioned in The Hidden Kingdom. He died of self-starvation in the Night Kingdom.
Biography
The Hidden Kingdom
Tapir is briefly mentioned when Glory asks Mangrove about the missing RainWings. He claims that Tapir was the oldest of the missing dragons, roughly a hundred and ten years of age.
While imprisoned by the NightWings, Glory is told by Kinkajou that the food the RainWings are brought was disgusting, and that Tapir eventually let himself starve to avoid having to eat the rotting carcasses. Later, when defending Glory's decision to challenge Queen Magnificent, Kinkajou mentions that Tapir, Bright, and Orangutan had already died.
